When I got certified as a life coach, the first thought that entered my mind was, "How in the world do I get clients?" This wasn't something that was covered in depth during my course, and as someone who doesn't do very well with self-promotion, I decided to take this on as a challenge. And here's how it went:
But first, if you're new here, hello! I'm Prachi. I live in Pondicherry and if you ever spot a girl petting and having very normal conversations with dogs and cats or taking photographs of flowers and the sky, that's me. I studied biology and environmental sciences in college but decided to pursue psychology and life coaching as a profession. I like to call myself somewhat tech savvy and I love making and editing videos.
More about me later, let's get back to my story of how I started writing here. A few months ago, I was finding ways to promote my coaching business, but I never actively did anything about it. I hoped that sharing amongst my friends was sufficient and that I would get clients through their word-of-mouth. This method has worked with a lot of people and it made great sense since self-promotion is something that doesn't come very naturally to me. But since you're reading this today, your logical guess would be that my word-of-mouth method didn't work.
In brief, this is what brought me here. To be honest, this is an attempt to regularly churn relatable content while comfortably sitting on my bed beside my always-napping cat. But more than this being a way to attract people who might need some life coaching, I want to this to be a platform where I'm able to articulate my thoughts, musings and questions into something worthwhile. If this resonates with you, I hope you stick around. For those who wish to leave, feel free to do so, saying no is one of the most powerful words out there.
And for those who stick around, my only hope is that my words make sense to you and it inspires you to articulate your ideas and concepts into something meaningful, just like I'm trying to do here.
Welcome.
